October 16, 2005 NEW CHAMPION! Ch. Shomberg's Spirit of The Shawnee aka, "Rudi" (Ch.Scattergun N Shannon's Firekeeper  x  Ch.Shomberg N Partridge Run Dark Duet) Rudi completed his championship by going Best of Winners under judge Jerry Clark at Ramapo Kennel Club's show on Sunday October 16, 2005. Rudi was bred by Steve and Sharon and handled beautifully as always by "grandma" and professional handler, Patty Crowley, who owns his sire.  He completed his title in only a matter of weeks and turned many heads in the process. This handsome young solid liver male was recognized at this years' GSPCA National Specialty show by taking the Open Class and has spent the last few weeks here on the east coast in competition. Congratulations and a sincere "thank you" to his owner, Bob Mahrt of Illinois for giving Rudi the opportunity to achieve his championship title and for showing the GSP community a truly excellent example of a lovely german shorthair. Steve and I are extremely proud and very appreciative for Bob and Patty's efforts to make Shomberg once again look great.
